We Started as a VA Company.
We Evolved into Something More.
Ten years ago, I Need a Michee started with a simple idea:
Help founders get their startups going!
Founders need help. A whole lot of it.
At the beginning, that help is a lot like what you expect from a VA company — admin work, inboxes, customer support, research, spreadsheets, and all those things founders don't necessarily want to spend their days doing.
But something kept happening as we worked with more startups.
We kept getting pulled into doing more.
A client would start by asking us to manage their inbox.
Then we'd help with customer support.
Then we'd notice their support process was messy and we’ll build their SOP.
Then we'd help organize their internal systems.
Then we'd update their website.
Then we'd create some graphics.
Then we’ll take care of executing their marketing campaigns.
Then we'd help figure out what needed to happen next.
And we’ll point out what’s not working, why it’s not working and how to make it work.
And eventually, we realized:
This was more than just being a VA.
Startups Don't Need More Job Titles.
They Need Their Gaps Filled.
A startup doesn't always need a full-time customer support person.
Or a full-time operations manager.
Or a full-time admin.
Or a full-time marketing assistant.
Sometimes you need a little bit of all of them.
And sometimes you don't even know what you need yet.
That's where we've found our sweet spot.
We work alongside founders and fill whatever operational gaps need filling.
We're comfortable jumping between departments, learning new tools, figuring things out, building processes, and getting things moving.
And because we've worked with startups for so long, we understand that what you need today might be completely different six months from now.
We Don't Just Do the Work.

One of the things that has always mattered to us is that the work we do shouldn't disappear when we're done doing it.
If we're doing something repeatedly, we want to ask:
Can we make this a system?

Can we build it so they can?

Yes, I'm the Michee in I Need a Michee.
I've spent years working closely with founders and wearing different hats — from administrative support to customer support, operations, systems, and everything in between.
One of the things I enjoy most is looking at a business and figuring out where things are getting stuck.
What can be improved?
What can be organized?
What needs a system?
What doesn't make sense anymore?
And most importantly: what can we take off the founder's plate?

I'm Alla, Michee's partner in crime.
I started in the online world doing writing work, which eventually turned into VA work because I'm naturally curious about how things work — and especially about the things that aren't working.
Over the years, I've worked across marketing, content, websites, customer support, social media, and operations.
I love jumping into a business, finding the gaps, and helping get things moving again.
Ten Years Later...
We're still doing what we've always wanted to do:
Help founders get their time back.
But we've grown beyond simply taking tasks off your plate.
