When We Ignore Things

We’ve all ignored something at one way or another. It could be something “small” like a text, an email or a message or it could be something “big” like an issue that we allowed to go on. Reasons vary as we ignore things. Sometimes, they’re intentional - “I don’t want to deal with this right now” or “I need time to think about it.” Sometimes, they’re coincidental like you were in the middle of something and couldn’t attend to it. Whatever your reason may be - ignoring something doesn’t make it go away.

If anything, it makes things worse.

Ignoring something and not addressing it head on usually makes it run in the background, allowing it to grow without you realizing it until the day it comes back.

And when it does, it usually comes back so different that you can no longer afford to ignore it.

This is usually what causes more stress in us and it creates a cycle because when you’re addressing something you can no longer afford to ignore, chances are, you’re probably ignoring something else and letting it grow. Try your best to break the cycle and address things head on and as soon as you can.
