Perhaps like me, you’re guilty of wanting to always be doing something, not wanting to waste a second on being idle. So you add more things on your to do list. You don’t seem to run out of things to add on your list. And because there’s just too much on your plate, you multitask.
Weirdly, there’s a great sense of accomplishment knowing that we’re juggling two or 3 things at a given time. Maybe, because we feel like we’re getting things done. Practically, we wear multitasking like a badge of honor. And oh boy do we wear it loud and proud.
But what are we really accomplishing when we drive ourselves to the point of exhaustion just so we feel productive?
When was the last time you took a break? Do you remember the last time you ate your meal without you typing away on your keyboard? How long has it been when you took a pause and just gave yourself a moment to think and reflect?
Not everything is urgent. And did you ever ask yourself why you’re in such a hurry? Do you even remember what you’re hustling for?
Sometimes you gotta give yourself the space to do nothing. It’s not a bad thing.
