How many times do you decline going out because you can’t get away from work? How many times a week do you skip exercising? How many times have you said to your family, “later” or “next time”? How many times have you eaten your meal in front of your laptop because you had to finish something?
Look, I get it. You want to get things done. You’ve got to keep working so you can provide for yourself, your family and keep your business running.
And I also know that it’s easy to be warped into this wormhole especially when you’re the one calling the shots.
The thing is - there’s always going to be work on your plate.
It will never end.
So why postpone your entire life just to work?
I don’t mean leaving everything behind. I mean your daily, seemingly small things.
Would your business really fall apart if you take an hour to enjoy your meal, away from your laptop?
Would it all crumble if you paused to attend a family gathering? A dinner with a friend? Went out for brunch, coffee, drinks?
