Last April, Alla and I started to address our health - aka we started working out. Both of us needed to lose unhealthy fat mass. Everything’s going well. Week after week, our fat mass dwindled down, we felt better, we started eating healthier, sleep earlier, and then a couple of weeks ago, I hit a plateau.
I stopped losing fat mass while Alla continued on. It was frustrating.
Half of me was telling me, it’s okay, we’ll figure this out (which is what our coach said). He immediately had a plan - to refine my diet further.
Half of me though was a little more cynical. It was telling me, “Well, that’s about it. This is as far as you can go. Just give up and eat a donut”.
We all hit plateaus in different areas of our life. It could be a skill that you’re honing, something you’re trying to learn, a goal your trying to achieve, business growth and more. What’s common in all these plateaus is that it presents you with 2 different paths:
Do you stop, reflect and try something different?
Do you stop and give up?
