On a random weekday afternoon, I found myself engrossed in an episode of House of Cards. What the episode was about was not important. It was the day and time. It was a work day and it was during a time of the day when I’d usually be typing away in my laptop totally engrossed in work.
As soon as I realized it, I pointed it out to Alla, “Hey, my day is light. For the first time in months, I feel light.” Her eyes fixed on the TV, she looked at me and realized it as well and with a quizzical look on her face she said, “Yes, me too.”
It dawned on me that we finally reached this goal we’ve set for us and for our team. Our team was doing our mission for our clients. They were taking so much from our plates that we now have the free time to do higher leverage tasks.
We are finally in sync. We were all working together smoothly and amazingly well. We finally have the right rhythm.
It felt so great. I felt so proud.
These are important moments that need to be appreciated and acknowledged.
Remember to pause and appreciate your team.
