My late grandmother was a generous woman. Even during difficult times, she remained generous with her time, money, knowledge, and whatever material possession she has. A lot of times I’ve asked her how she does it. Because, I just could not wrap my head around her generous ways. Here’s what my late grandma told me. Generosity takes practice and effort. A lot of effort. You have to consciously choose to be generous. You’ll have to practice empathy. And make the effort to take your focus away from your own problems and zoom in on somebody else’s. “We have more than enough.”
That’s what she used to tell me. Often times, when you feel like you don’t have enough, you just don’t want to share. And in difficult times, you have to trust yourself that you’ll figure things out.
