The rules apply to you too. Or rather to you especially. You are not an exception just because you’re the founder of the company. This is if you want to build a dynamic and rich company culture, be respected as an authority, and inspire your team. Be fair and follow the rules you set instead of making yourself the exception to the rule.
I know, it’s so tempting to ride on your authority and exempt yourself from rules here and there from time to time. But remember that your team looks up to you. What you do matters the most to your team. They stick and cling to their memory.
